Like many of our authors, ML Buchman has a cat. Her name was Zammie.
Of this photo, Matt says, ” Zammie helping me quilt and my wife knit. She was always happiest when she had whatever we were working on well secured. Sitting on manuscripts in the midst of editing was one of her favorites.”
She is a gorgeous girl. The past tense makes us sad but Mama didn’t ask more about if Zammie is gone. Her fur is just stunning.
Matt’s story in the Fantastic Feline Heroes Bundle is Androcles the Christmas Lion: Betsy. And even if it’s a little bit past Christmas, you’ll still want to read this.
Oh look! We have another photo of Zammie!
Matt came by and commented and we thought you’d all want to see what he said, so we’re quoting him here, “Zammie and her sister Cami were rescue cats. We got them at 1-1/2 and they made it to 15 and 14 years respectively. Cami was a blind calico (and something of a Queen Bee). Once she was gone, Zammie really blossomed until old age caught up with her. No replacements yet as we have some traveling in our future, but we will certainly be cat people again someday.
Androcles the Christmas Lion (in the above noted Feline Heroes bundle) however, is based on my muse. Androcles is a Build-a-Bear stuffed lion given to me by my family on a milestone birthday. He hangs out by my writing desk in a terry cloth bathrobe (a form of attire we often share when I’m writing).”
Thank you for the comment about LC. We think we lost track of you guys after Chey left for The Bridge. We are glad to have found you again.
Zammie is beautiful. I agree, past tense is usually sad.
oh noes, not past tense ….
