Thursday in the Garden with Ichiro and Gemini

Well here are some photos of us checking out the new look. Neither of us are very happy about this new look.

Gemini is looking around at the new plant, making sure it’s okay. It smells good. You can see the thing that keeps the vegetables right next to it by the patio. We’re not sure if this is a good thing or not.

IMG_2965smHere are both of us checking out the center of the yard. You can see that I am looking around much more confidently than Scaredy Cat Ichiro.  There needs to be more plants there but Mama says it might be next year before they get more. The lilac is hiding behind the big bush next to Buddha. She said she wasn’t looking at that angle and now it is disappointing that you can’t see it, but it sounds like lilacs grow fast.

Finally here is Ichiro checking out the other side of the yard. See the water? That’s a pond. And it makes noise. As you can see, Ichiro doesn’t like it. You can also see the wall that frames up the old slope. It would be a good place to hide but we haven’t done that yet. There is a honeysuckle there behind the peony and there is some clumping bamboo along the wall. We’ll have a bigger clump there. Mama says there are plans for empty area and many of those will get done this year, hopefully.

  3. I don’t get it – how come you guys are outside and you aren’t running all over the place and trying to climb fences and playing keep away? That is what we would do, and why we are never allowed outside!

  7. dood….seer ee iz lee..ewe R gonna LOVES de pond…once it getz fish in ther….instant dinner, even quiker N a micro wave !!! tell yur mom ta put koi in it…they R like 19 feetz long at birth 🙂

    We think the garden will look super when those plants start growing!

  12. Thanks for the tour Gemini. Your garden will look lovely once the plants get established. The water would be fun to play with. You could flick it at Ichiro.
