This is my “I am enjoying rubbing my face in the nip” face. It is from the box we got from Paws and Effect. It is very good nip! Ichiro may have taken the nip pickle but I like the real thing!
We are getting back into the swing of life after the snow. It started last Sunday and then it snowed on Monday and again on Tuesday. But on Tuesday Dad went to work anyway because he had missed the day before. Then it snowed all day Wednesday and it was supposed to rain on Thursday, but we got freezing rain for a few hours and then it turned back to snow. So then no one could go anywhere! On Friday, Momma woke up and there was no power and it was cold. And you still couldn’t go many places because it was raining but there was still lots of snow and ice on the road and we live on a big hill.
So they froze for awhile and then they went out and got a few groceries from the local store. They didn’t have lights either so nice clerks were helping people with flashlights. And they had emergency lights so you could see a little bit! One of the three main roads out of town was closed because of downed trees so they came back home and piled on blankets.
Fortunately the power came back on around midnight or so, although the power company had estimated about 5 AM. I was very glad because I was getting chilled. I do not like that. Poor Chey had a very cold tail. Momma was worried about her cold tail! She did not worry about my cold tail! Just because I am floofy does not mean I do not get cold.
But then it rained and rained some more and although we had wind, we did not have any more downed trees. In fact, we were surprised that we have not heard about floods yet. This is good as the valley floods all the time. After a week like that you can see why I need some nip!
Oh wow, I’m shivering just reading this Gemini!!! I’m going to go burrow under a pile of blankies!
We’ve had a very mild January this year. Last year, we had snow twice already. We don’t think we’d like that cold, white stuff.
Wow, we are glad ya all are warmed up again! We have had a very mild winter here. No meaningful snow yet. An we hope it stays that way. We dont wanna get coldeded like you did!
Oh, my! We can clearly see why you NEEDED nip. Our mom is making googly eyes at your picture. Friskalicious!
I bet you are glad you are floofy even though you can still get cold. We think it is very worthy of some extra showing off at any time.
Oh my goodness! you poor kitties! I hope you got all warmed up now with lots of blankets and snuggles!
Your weather sounds horrible, Gemini! I don’t blame you for wanting some nip after that.
Oh Gemini!! It would be terrible to have no power and be cold and have a cold tail!!
We are glad the power came back and you have nip to make you feel better!!!!

A friend of mine just moved to Seattle days before the snow hit. The truck had only just arrived and they weren’t even half-unpacked! Glad everyone is OK!
You weather sounds like ours! Freezing rain is the worst, the mom says. She has ice-gripper-thingies for her boots, though, so that gives good traction. We prefer to stay inside!
We hope that’s it for your blast of winter–at least no more treacherous freezing rain and ice. Tell your beans to stay safe!
We’re so glad that things are getting back to normal for you, Gemini. A little bit of nip sure helps.
Gosh./ That sounds like some pretty fierce weather. We have barely had anything resembling winter here and are wandering whether February is going to be dreadful…
Stay warm!
Purrs,
The Chans
Wowser, that all sounds terrible. We hope all of you are warm now. We hate to be cold. Hope Mom passed out lots of treats to help you stay warm. Take care.
Holy Cats. the worst bit was the chilly caudal bones!
Oh brrrrrrrrr, that no power stuff isn’t any fun at all. I sure am glad you are warm again!
Oh Miss Gemini
I will be right over with fresh nip and some warm cuddles.
Ping purrs
Sounds like it was awful. Nip makes everything seem better though.
Brr, we hope you all have a nice eiderdown to cuddle under!
Our weather has suddenly turned cold, and dad put me out today when he went out, so I was out for a couple of hours and it RAINED. I have decided to stay in the rest of the weekend. Can you blame me?
