Okay, well so far Cheysuli has eaten some fishy flakes. But she started burping them up and wouldn’t eat any of the good stuff Momma fixed for her so she had to be force fed again. Momma was so sad about that–but she took her food better!
At any rate, she seems a bit happier today. That makes me happy. I have high hopes that she’ll be able to swat the kitten.
She had to go back and get blood drawn at the vet today. They are perplexed. Of course, without a fever there is a good chance that something really bad could show up. Momma was supposed to hear from the vet this evening but they did not call. She hopes that no news is good news, but will call them tomorrow if no one calls first thing.
At any rate, getting Chey to eat was huge. I hope that I never have to do that. Force feeding is stressful. Cheysuli is kind of fat so the vet said it was particularly important for her because fat cats get fatty liver faster than not so fat cats. I guess fat cats loose their fat faster. I am glad that I am just a floof! Maybe Momma won’t have to worry so much about me not eating and I can be picky for awhile unlike Cheysuli who must eat! That will show her to be fat!
Now, maybe she can take over disciplining the kitten.
Gemini…mom just wants to kiss your cute face!
We are still purring hard for Chey. This reminds us all of when Bennette got so ill and we were all scared, and she had no fever, no real issues other than she was nauseated and refused to eat and she was lethargic. We are purring that whatever is going on with Chey will go away just as mysteriously as it appeared and she just has a stomach bug. We know you are all taking such good care of her and we know she wants to get well so that little whippersnapper can get the swatting he deserves.
Keeping my paws crossed that nothing is seriously wrong with Chey except for stress with the new little kitten. The vet had to force feed me last year when I got so sick and I didn’t like it either, but I am so much better now. Thanks for the update, Gemini!
Your such a good girl for keeping us updated on Chey, Miss Gemini. We continue to purr for healing …
Sending our loudest healing purrrrss and healing purrayers to Chey.
Thanks for the update Gemini!! We are still purrring for her!!
Your TX furiends,
Gemini…..A fine job of reporting, perhaps a new sideline
for you?
Mama just remembered that a bit of papaya is
very good for a sick tummy……. it can be blended with water
and syringed.
But all us Brats hope your sister Chey gets feeling better, and maybe
you can play with the kitten till she does?
love to all,
Tigger,SonnyBob,SirWoody
Poor Chey! I hope she can eat by herself soon. What a curious thing this health problem is! If she weren’t so ill, I’d accuse her of faking in order to hog all the attention.
We had to feed Scoop when he had a chest cold once. He took tiny, tiny slivers of steak which meant handfeeding sessions of 20 minutes 5 times a day – but we go through it.
Gemini, yoo look beautiful today. And fanks for a detailed update abowt Chey. We are purring hard for Chey’s recovery.
My human and I hate that whatever is going on with Chey is so mysterious. It is awful to have a sick kitty and not know what to do to help her! I am continuing to send you all lots of purrs in hopes that whatever is going on gets resolved soon!
The fatty liver issue is tricky it seems – because in a human, just allowing the GI tract to rest would allow a virus to work its course etc. I wonder if the vet can give her/has given her something to dissipate the gassiness.
Really purring for you to be better SOON, Chey. Gemini, thanks for the report, and you hang in there too, okay?
We’re purring and purraying that Chey starts eating on her own soon. We hope the vet can figure out what’s going on and it is nothing serious.
Wow Gemini, you are an awesome reporter.
Please tell Chey that she is in our thoughts and prayers. We hope that whatever it is, it goes away soon!
Gemini, thank you so much for keeping uSSSSS updated. Please tell Chey that we are purring for her to get better very soon!

You are a very busy girl, Gemini, with taking care of Chey and training the wee one! Mom had to force feed Lilly and Cerise at various times and luckily they were very cooperative. She said it was a very wonderful bonding experience. Maybe she could teleport over and try her hand with Chey.
Continued positive thoughts for Chey! (((HUGS)))
Miss Gemini we are so glad you were able to give us an update on Chey.
We are still purrin hard for her to feel better.
WE hope that the Vet has some answers for you and your Mom.

Oh no! We just managed to get the computer turned on and we see Chey is not well. We are sending very strong purrs for her.
You are looking lovely Miss Gemini.
We have to leave the computer as we found it now before mum finds we have learned how to start it up.
PS
Kitten????? We will have a lot of catching up to do.
Gorgeous Gemini, you are doing a great job keeping us updated on Chey’s condition!…Glad she is eating a little on her own, keeping our paws crossed and purring loudly for good test results…Hang in there, sweet friends….xoox…Calle, Halle, Sukki
Gemini, We thanks you for the Chey report. Our Mommy feels so bad for your Mom, having to force feed Chey. How awful for them both! We’re hoping that Chey will feel better today, and eat a little on her own. Purrs to all of you! And a little nose kiss to the mischevious kitten tot!
we hope it iz just a bug and Chey gets back ta eeting and keeping it down soon.
Deare Gemini,
Oh blastyzoidz! We waz hopin’ dats Chey woulds be chowin’ down. I gotsez an idee. I tink dat Ichiro mights haz her a itty bitty green-eyed instead of blue-eyed & dats her tum tum iz upset cuz she iz, well, you know, jello?
I tinks dat Chey iz such a sensytive meezer dats her tum tum iz connected to her jello bone. & mebbe dis iz what started it, coupled wit a itty bitty sumpin’ else, likes a scratchy dats you cannots see under her furz?
All conjeckture aside, I sure hopes da vet callz wit good newz & I sure hope dats Chey doez nots has to be forced-fed.
Dat iz no fun fur her or da woman. & bound to makes dem both egg-sauced.
I sooprized dats Chey is F-A-T????
She sure doezn’t looks it. Now Delilah on da other paw, iz B-I-G. I can’ts imagine Chey iz likes dis. Chey iz a beeotyful meezer.
We are all still sendin’ our biggest purrzez to her & to your fambly,
Dr Tweety
Oh Gemini, I am so sad that Chey isn’t feeling well! I bet you are being a very good nurse to her. Please know that I am purring for her.
Love
Kellie
We are very sad that Chey has to keep going to the v-e-t. That is absolutely not cool!! We do hope that the v-e-t calls your Mom soon – with good news!! We are keeping our paws crossed & are purring as loudly as we can!!
Good reporting, Gemini! In the meantime, maybe you can condition the kitten to whaps on the noggin – that’s what I do to Simon all the time – no claws, though – it’s just to let him know who’s top cat… He barely reacts anymore (it drives our Mom crazy though – so that’s an added bonus!!)
Feel better soon, ok Chey??
~Nico, Simon & JayJay 🙂
Oh Chey, we are so worried about you! Please eat and feel better very soon. We are so sorry that your mommy has to force feed you, it must be so stressful.
Gemini, you are such a sweetie pie!!! What a pretty face 🙂
WE continue to purr for Chey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Purrs Mickey,Georgia & Tillie
Purring hard for good news for Chey!
Shaggy is kind of doing better. He’s lapping up some liquids anyway.
Fatty liver syndrome is one of my biggest fears with him. He who can’t lose weight has suddenly lost 2 pounds in the last 2 months. They’ll do a blood chemistry on him if I take him back, but I’m hoping he will come out of this on his own.
xxxooo
Gemini, you are such a good nurse and reporter, we hope you get some extra treats for all this work. Not to mention supervising the kitten (he’s lovely)
We’re so glad that Chey ate a little. That’s really good. We’re sending her even more rumbly purrs.
Chey get well very soon please
Whicky Wuudler
So did yer mom have to PAY a vet to tell her that Chey was too fat? Cuz I coulda done that no problim, fur a lot cheeper! Even so, I hope she gits better soon so she can keep that noo littul rat in its place.
It is good that Chey decided to eat a little bit. And hopefully the burping will stop so she will eat some more. WE are hoping that the blood test comes back with good results (I mentioned how this sounded like what Lola had – her blood came back as normal so it is possible). Lola is pudgy too, so we had the same fears about fatty liver – oh, it just is like reading about what Lola went through a few years ago, and so I know that it has to be both frustrating and scary for you. We are sending over lots of purrs and prayers, and crossing our fingers and paws for good blood test results and for Chey to decide to start eating.
