When I went wandering off this week I was watching some old family photos about the Woman’s parent’s honeymoon. This week I went back to see what they saw! However, now I am stuck not only somewhere but some when! I will be offering a few clues if no one guesses close to when I am later on. Can you help?!
Sorry the quality isn’t very good, but well the photo is OLD. Can you find Where I am and then When I am?!
Find Full Find Chey Rules here.
My guess would be the Washington Monument in 1960 or 1961.
I also think that you are on the road leading to the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., but I think the year is 1959.
We don’t have a clue!
We are not going to ‘guess’ where you are because we know. You are in Washington DC. Mom thinks it’s the mall near the Smithsonians (probably in front of the National Gallery of Art). It has to be late spring or summer because of the trees, so we are going to guess August of 1963.

1057 – the Waashington Monument!
In those days, so many people got married in June. So I will say late June- early July, 1958, on the Mall in Washington DC near the Washington Monument. My Mom was there then too!!
Dunno! (again)
Wow, Chey…you really teleported back in time for this one! You’re definitely in Washington, DC…that’s the Washington monument there…and from those cars, it looks like the early 1960s…summertime….
Now get out of the road before you get hit!!!
We agree – Washington Monument – we finks 1958 or 1959.
You are lying in the middle of the street in Washington, DC. Based on the cars, it’s sometime in the early 60s. I can’t believe I actually recognize where you are.
Washington DC…where everyone says you are is the place…
I’m guessing the time is June of 1963.
Well, we know where, the pointy crayon (as mom used to call it) otherwise known as the Washington monument. When? We’ll say 1956. Dad would be able to look at the cars an tell instantly. Bummer for us that he’s not here.

PS Pepere had a bad day Wednesday, but he is doing much better. We know your purrs were what helped him have a better day. 🙂
Chey, you’re gonna be road kill if you don’t get out of that street soon!
We know when and where too but what is a mystery.
The where is easy Chey … the when has us stumped because we aren’t good with guessing the years of the cars!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Yeah ‘Kaika on the where! Yeah Karen Jo (and the Meezers) on the when… it was indeed 1959…
We is finkin sum needle point fingy in Washington DC but yoo know, we dun travel much so am not sure.
Clueless again, but it looks like somewhere in the States judging from the cars.
When my Mom was a leetle girl, her fambly traveled across the USA in a blue ford station wagon that looked a lot like some of those cars. Fun to remember, she says.
Are you in the movie “Back to the Future”?
Chey!! Get out of the street before you get run over!
We think Washington DC in 1965
Chey, you’re in the middle of the road. Stay there and everyone will be calling you Flat Butt. Move!
We’re agreeing with others that you’re in DC in the 60’s.

Dunno but those cars look ancient! Hey Chey, should you be lying on the road like that?
I agree with Daisy. Back to the Future. By the big pencil in DC, late 50’s. Don’t get run over.
Some of the cars in the photo are 1960’s. Those are what the folks now call the classic cars. It looks like the Washington Momument in the distance. Boy DC is now so much more crowded than it was back then.
Congrats to Karen Jo on the year — 1959!
Actually, I guessed 1960 0r ’61 from looking at the tail lights on the white car, which looks like a 1960 Impala or Biscayne (Chevy). The 1959 models had a single, elongated tail light. The 1960’s had the double or triple tail lights … (this moment of car geek was brought to you by the male human!)
‘Kaika, they were married in late 1959, so it is possible that the 1960 models were already out at that point (if they did it like they do now even a little)!
Those werent new 60’s cars… Early 50’s even late 40’s… The Big Thing is sure about that.
Yikes!!!!!!! You went back in time!!!!!!!
That is getting really lost 😮
You could make $$$ with your time travel 😉
How did ya do it,heehee

Our mom only knew the where. Her excuse for not knowing the when is that it was taken 3 years before she was born. We asked if she honestly could recognize the year of a car after she was born and she admitted she could not. She’s claiming that your site makes her feel a bit s-t-u-p-i-d. We kinda think that’s great. Thanks Chey for keeping it real.
I’s gonna go out on a limb heres an disagree.
I finks it be tha San Jacinto Monument, which is taller than the Washington Monument. That could be the Battleship Texas adjacent to the monument. It is located on the Houston Ship Channel here in Houston (Harris County).
