Do not cry for my body that has gone. Rejoice for my spirit that is free.
Forgive me if I do not say good bye to the friends who are here. I have so many to say hello to across the Bridge
Georgia crossed the Bridge, on her own, in my lap at about 10:45 PM last night. She was wrapped in the lovely pink fleece that we got from the Meezers two years ago as part of our Secret Paw. No doubt she is thanking Norton and Trixie even now.
Good-bye beautiful Georgia. It is always sad when one leaves. We know your family is shedding tears for you, but we are glad you were able to leave in your own time. Purrs and tail wags for your mom, Chey and Gemini.
Goodbye sweet Georgia. We didn’t know you well but admired your beauty often. We hope that you are happy and painfree. You will be missed.
–Stryder, Scotchy, Sugar & Kellykat
We don’t know you but we are so sorry you’ve lost your Georgia. We can tell you loved her very much and gave her the best love and care any cat could hope for. Bless you for being such kind and caring humans, if only everyone was as good as you.
Georgia, we are happy that your passing was quiet and peaceful and that your Mom was holding you. You are now healthy and painfree at the Bridge, with many friends.
That will not stop us from feeling sad that you are no longer here with us.
Hugs & Purrs to Chey,Gemini and your Mom & Dad

Bless you, Georgia. While we are all sad that it was time for you to go, we are thankful that you chose when and how and where you crossed the Bridge. I can’t think of a better place than in your mommy’s lap, wrapped up in a pink fuzzy from your dear friends the Meezers.

Oh, ow. I am crying. Your Getting Ready post just broke our hearts. When the time comes for our geriatrics to pass, we hope we remember to come back to read this about the crystals and stones.
Georgia was such a good friend to so many!
Thinking of all of you with much furry love.
Sending purrs to all on this sad day. Georgia was a special kitty. Please give scritches to Gemini and Chey from us.
Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love,
the things you are,
the things you never want to lose.
Goodbye for now sweet Miss Georgia.
Your spirit runs free of illness now and we rejoice in that.
Shine your light on your little boo and family, keep them safe,
watch over them, and wait for them at the Bridge. Be there
to bound into your Mom’s lap once again when her time comes to
reunite with you.
Purrs for your family…
Abby, Boo, Ping, Jinx and Gracie and Mom Debra

We did not see Georgia last night, mom could just feel it. I think because of what we went through with Jonathan she was sensitive to it. Hope you are all holding up ok today.
We hadn’t known Georgia long, but know how she added that special something to your life. The love she gave to you was reflected in your tender care. May sweet memories of your life together soften the sadness you are feeling now.
Spot is there, waiting for her where kitty angels go…
I’m so sorry for your loss! Deep purrs!
Georgia, we know you are in better place not hurting but we will still miss you. Hopefully, Mia & the rest of our friends who have gone before are showing her around the bridge now.
Gemini, Chey & family… you are in our thoughts. Purrs…
Goodbye for now, Georgia. You were well-loved and you leave many happy memories, not only for your humans but also for everyone around the world who knew your through this blog.
We are so very very sorry for your loss! But it was nice that Georgia crossed on her own – to be welcomed by many many friends at the bridge, our own Anastasia and Emil for sure being one of the first ones to welcome her.
She had lots of love in her life, and that’s all that counts.
Our thoughts are with you, our maid has those leaky eyes again – but we know Georgia is doing just fine!!!
Karl

We posted on Georgia yesterday on our own blog – and left a heartfelt comment here, which sadly hasn’t been posted. Mom had trouble with the Internet connection and thinks that’s why. So we’ll write it again:
We are very sad and sorry to hear of dear sweet little Georgia having to go to the Bridge. We know you must be feeling unbelievably sad and missing her. But how wonderful that she passed surrounded by her loving fambly. Purrs for you all.
Goodnight sweet Georgia. Enjoy the Bridge until your fambly eventually join you.
To Georgia’s family,
Please take some comfort from this poem:
“They say memories are golden,
Well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway,
And heartache makes a lane.
I’d walk a path to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.”

It’s so hard to lose such a special member of the family. Even though she had been ill for a long time, the loss is still acute. Enjoy all your tender memories. She must have been a wonderful cat and she certainly nurtured the others in the family. You have our sincere sympathy.
Love,
~Bathsheba and her Mom
