Well in spite of the fact that the Woman read Derby’s comment to mean that I covered the distinctive feature of the mountains with my big fat head, ‘Kaika managed to find me.
Thanks to Derby for the clue, I will guess Monterey, Mexico.
And yes, that is exactly where I am!
Thanks to Derby for the travel suggestion. It is Saddleback Mountain in Monterey Mexico. I think ‘Kaika is a very astute cat and willing to go digging for information to find me! I like that in a cat.
Zeus had a frightening answer:
I know! You went to the Catskill mountains!
Good heavens I hope not! After all I am there (and alone!)
LC, Ayla and Iza wrote me a poem:
โTrapped between the mount and sky,
Or sky and mount, or up an down,
Chey is both atwixt an tween,
One has to wonder where and why.Is this a new Rushmore kitty,
First to be achizelled on?
Or a lonely giant head,
Peeking into yonder dawn.We will say the giant kitty,
First to spy the contnent old
Is the reason that the mammoths
wander round our yards no more.โLC, Ayla, and Iza
I rather like being immortalized like this… More cats should write poetry to me. Perhaps I should have a contest… hmmm….
Congratulations to Kaika!
I’m sure glad you weren’t at the Catskill Mtns – yike!
Love LC, Ayla and Iza’s poem for you … ๐
Hahah ‘Kaika is a true kitty that has not lost her natural hunting instincts is all ๐ What a better hunt than a place hunt :))
I must say though Chey, the floating head was just a little scary.. :))

ConCATs to ‘Kaika! And what a superduper poem about you!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
Hey… you should totally look into that Mount Rushmore a-chiseling thing.
OK we admit our geography skills are rubbish. We will ask for remedial lessons from Dad. (Mom’s hopeless too)
A poetry contest would be fun!
RATS!!! Wrong again!
Congrats to Kaika! Even when I’m wrong it’s still fun!
Congrats! We would have never guessed where you were.
Good on Kaika! Hope you like the picture, ears and all covering the mountains!
Yes, by all means you should host a poetry contest. As you may or may not know, I’m a pretty good poet.
Concats to Kaika. We have come to the conclusion that we are not very good at this. Well apart from when we have geography lessons.
Kaika is Prrrrilliant!
Concatulations Kaika!
And that poem … Chey, you ARE immortalized with that poem! We wrote a little poem for you too, although not nearly so wonderful as LC, Ayla and Iza’s poem.
Chey, you travel so far and wide,
And without your adventures we’d only hide.
Because we aren’t as brave as you,
We live our fantasies, through you, only you.
ConCATs to Kaika! And that’s a great poem LC, Ayla and Iza too!
Was there good things to eat in those mountains, Chey? If so, can you show me how to get there?
Purrrrrrrrrs,
da Mini
