Our Find Chey Friday was surprisingly hard. I was quite excited to go visiting here because we have extended family and so we felt right at home at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Zippy, Speedy and Sadie were the first Wiskerconsin cats to guess and they guessed right:
Oh boy, we know dis one! It’s da Calatrava designed “solar wings” addition on da Milwaukee Art Center! Mom loved dem when dey is open cuz dey look just like da wings on a giant bird…but when dey is closed dey kinda look like da bow of a big ship.
Of course, I got the idea to go here from my esteemed running mate, Derby!
Victor, who came by shortly after Zippy, Speedy and Sadie, guessed that Derby was the cat I was probably visiting!
Ok, ZSS beated us to da museun. I fink you was bisitin yur runnin mate, Derby! Him lifs near Milwaukee. You should also bisit ZSS, us, and The Crew while in Whiskonsin. PS der sur IS a lotta water near der – A grate lake full!
Purrs,
Victor “sQuint” Tabbycat
The reference to water, is of course because Daisy was looking for it as she thought I was on a bridge. No Daisy, you were wrong again, but we are all rooting for you to get it right one of these days!
Many cats guessed I was on a roof and technically they were correct, however not correct enough to be the big winners. The Meezers were a little more specific on the roof I was on:
you’re on the roof of a ‘parently empty building ‘acause there’s only one car in the parking lot. yep. that’s where you are!
I have to admit I did wonder this. Do people in Wisconsin not like their art museum? Shall we put some fine are of us cats in the museum? Perhaps a portrait of me and Derby and one of Yao-lin? And some famous paintings like this one?

Breaking News
(well to us here on the West Coast)
We have just learned that Daisy’s sister Pixie has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We will sing for Pixie tonight. Daisy tells us not to be sad for her (Pixie) but we do know that Daisy and her people will be sad because they will miss their lovely banana eating girl. We are not going to eat bananas in her honor but we will be a bit nicer to Georgia. If you have not been there, please go and give them hugs.
I guessed I would be lost too there as the whole place looked so deserted. Anyway, you guys did great in finding Chey back. High Five guys!
We’re sure the people in Wisconsin DO like their museums, however, it might have been the time of day when the neighborhood beer hall is more appealing.
Concats to Zippy, Sadie and Speedy. So much for us thinking it might be an airport. We should have known cuz mum sez she has never seen an airport that deserted.
Congratulations to ZSS! We think museums are underrated and no visited nearly enough by the current generation.
p.s. Great Meezer cards! hahaha!
ZS&S are smart kitties. I will figure out where you are one of these weeks!
Hey,there are some mighty smart kitties in the Blogosphere 🙂
Purrs Mickey
Wow, we agree with Mickey…..there are some very smart kitties out there!!!!!! Impressive!
Great get by Zippy, Sadie and Speedy! We, of course, had no idea, but think that it looks like a pretty cool building. If we lived closer, we’d send Mum over to visit…

Gypsy & Tasha
My first thought was a plane, but mom told me not to suggest that. Boy, was I way off base!
Way to go, Zippy, Sadie and Speedy! Woo hoo!
Concats to ZSS!! We had no idea what device you were on.
We are very sad to learn of Pixie’s passing this morning.
Luf, Us
Hey! I just stopped by to say hi!
I am so sorry to hear about Pixie. I am sure she is in the land of many bananas.

Congratulations to Zippy, Speedy and Sadie. We had no clue.
Tiki, Tavi, Cody, Camie and Miss Jade
Just as a point of note, the front of the building is not a parking lot. You can drive up and drop people off, but not park there. That gives the area a more open feel AND you don’t have a bunch of cars and stuff in your photo’s. There is a parking structure just across the street, that is where mum parks. There is also some parking underneath the building.
Also mum reports that the day she took this picture, which was last year, the museum hadn’t opened for the day. The wings get raised and opened once the place opens. Mum got their early so she could take pictures of the wings opening up.
Congrats to all the correct guessers! 🙂
Did you get the wings opening? Are these the wings opened or closed?
Oh my! Will I get tossed off it the wings open?!
That museum is really cool looking Chey! We thought it was a plane at first like Praline did! We are also so, so sad about Pixie, but we know she is an angel at the Bridge.
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Oh, where dat car is is not even a really parking lot…da parking lot is on da other end of da bilding. We don’t know what dat car is doing der unless dey are using dat as an overflow lot.
Oh, if yoo want to see it wif open wings and from other angles go here…http://www.mam.org/info/details/quadracci.php
They call da addition da Quadracci Pavilion…some of yoo may haf heard of Quadgraphics. It is a large printing place owned by da Quadracci fambly, dey gave da museum most of da money fur dis addition so dey named it after dem.
I think you have a good pick in Derby as your running mate. I’ll vote for you.
Hugs…G
ZSS are smart kitties and so is Victor! Me? I think I grow fur instead of brain cells! Equivalent of ‘dumb blonde’ except that I am grey and white 🙂
I am on a mission to find more cat lovers blogs. This is my first visit here. Your cats are beautiful!!!!!
We have four of our own!
Oh, I didn’t have a clue but brilliant guessers by all! My mom really wants to go visit there now… What an excellent shot and congratulations to Zippy, Sadie and Speedy!
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs, Willow
Thank you so much for thinking of Pixie. I think being extra-kind to Georgia is a wonderful remembrance. Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated during this sad time.
Yup, like da ofurs said, dat’s not the parking lot… Mom says they had to walk lots further to get there. I fink Wisconsin museums like to make people park an walk cuz none of them seem to have close parkin.
Glad you came to bisit!
