From the Cat Post Intelligencer:
“Cheysuli is entirely too much in the hands of Big Catnip,” stated Presidential Candidate Barak Obama. “She thinks that Nipothal is the way to for a new automotive fuel. She envisions a world where everyone grows their own fuel in their yards, creating fields of catnip everywhere.
“What Cheysuli does not understand is something every gardener understands. Yes catnip grows easily. A member of the mint family it can be invasive and grows like a weed.
“However, have you ever gotten your lovely catnip plants to mid summer, see them start to bloom and suddenly… They disappear. Like that.
“The neighbor’s cat has wandered into your yard and used your catnip. What if that’s the morning of your big presentation? What if that’s the time your wife goes into labor?
“Cheysuli’s plan for nipothal vehicles will not work. I applaud her for thinking outside the box, but Big Catnip’s heavy funding of 25 cents per month to her campaign (more than she’s getting from any one else) is likely clouding her thinking. Can we have a politician funded by one major lobby group in Washington?”
I believe that I would like to grow some Nipothal. I think that would make my Food Lady happy! I just like the idea of growing our own Nip!
Thanks for purring for my dad – he came home last night after his surgery and I think that he feels better because of all the purrs!
Purrrrrrrs, Willow
Purrrrrrrrs, Willow
I admire you Chey~!
Michico only could grow cat-grass, not even nip!
I guess I can only eat cat-grass now~~
I really like the idea of Nipothal. I think the way to go is to grow so much nip that there is plenty for the cats and the cars, too.
Chey, it’s clear that most non-felines simply don’t understand. Nipothal is a great idea for an alternate fuel!
Well, our catnip doesn’t get a chance to be taller than 1/4″, ’cause we eat it! We WISH it would grow like weeds!
Oh yes I’d vote for anyone wanting to do more with catnip! For a start it’s a wonderful rodent repellent, so why not plant all the inner city areas that have a rat problem with catnip?! Oh yes there’s much I know about d’nip and more I’d like to learn if only I could remember that after my afternoon ‘nip attack! π
well, we should at least try.
I dunno…I saw MomBean go into labor with Sprout. I don’t think it would have made a difference if HeBean was using nip; MomBean would have drug him along regardless…
Hey, we see NOTHING wrong with growing nip!
Pooh Bear would definitely support your catnip feul plan!
Such a terrific image: “…fields of catnip everywhere.” It sounds so beautiful! Oh, the audacity of hope… π
If dey use our catnip furr fuels it might make it hard to git…and we would be wifout…
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH dat wood be bad….
Helllooooo Miss Gemini
Purrs
your boyfriendcat
Catnip for fuel…sounds good to my Meowm.
Those extra kitties are not staying here….there is no room….really, seriously…there is no room. That doesn’t mean Meowm won’t become attached though.
Oh yes! We always get recommendations like the Viralys from the V-E-T.
Luf, Us
Perhaps you should start a committee for research and development of Nipothal?
I love the idea of the idea of Nipothal! I think what he doesn’t get is nip can be grown inside as well making it a year round harvest. No neighbor’s cat would come in our house and take MY, ahem, I mean OUR nip fuel away.
Catnip fuel is definitely the wave of the future, no matter what anyone thinks!
Well its better than corn!! I’m with ya Chey!
He’s simply jealous that he didn’t come up with the idea. Remember that so-called rally in Portland last month? It really was a rally for Meezer World Domination.
I think you should try it!
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm,I’m not sure about using MY nip for stoopid bean’s cars!!!! Let them grow….beans!! Hahahahaha!!!
Purrs Mickey
What? They dare to shoot down your good idea! Do they have a better idea? No! So, maybe we should save deposits from all kitty litterboxes and use that?
purrs and tail wags
I would so vote for you if I had a vote in Mericky, Chey.
I only just saw your picture of Multnomah Falls. I would have guessed that because my humans went there on their trip in 2006, while they were driving from Boise to Portland. They said it was an interesting place. They liked the Oregon Trail museum in Baker City best out of the places they went to in Oregon. And the Oregon Zoo. And the nice lady in Portland who got in her car and gave them directions when they got lost and ended up in her street…
We like the idea of simply growing lots and lots of nip. If it ever gets to the blooming stage (ha, ha) it has lovely purplish flowers.
Mindy & MOe
Oh dat nipathol idea is workable…we’re afraid dat Mr. Obama is short sighted. If there were nip plants everywhere there would be less temptation to flatten the few that were grown in someones garden.
I think if candidit Obama spent sum more time with nip he wood change his mind!
we disagree with Obama and hope you continue with your Nipothal plans Chey. Go green! Go catnip! Go Chey!
Well, I certainly hopes dat dis alternative fuel will takes off. Dis will ensure dats my brudder Maximillian will haz job security. & den mebbe, we wont’s has to steel da nay-borz corn.
Our ‘nip is invading other parts of Mom’s garden. We’d be happy to donate it to your cause, Chey.
