Busy Week

Ichiro · May 30, 2007 ·

It’s been a busy week.  I’ve been planning my summer events schedule. You know it’s so hard to be a political cat. I keep getting pig piled by the press when Hilary or Obama says ANYTHING about me.   Don’t even get me started on Romney.  Ron Paul ignores me, which I think is a good thing.  I’ve had a very hard time getting an interview anywhere but Air America.

I’ll be on the Colbert Report in a few weeks and later this fall, the Daily Show.   Bill Maher pokes fun at me regularly but I haven’t yet been a panelist on his show, though I’ve tried. I’ve heard that he dates Arianna, and of course my blog is such competition for Huffington Post.  Perhaps that’s why I’ve been passed over.  Then again, perhaps not enough of his guests speak cat.  They could use my free lessons, couldn’t they?

So, tomorrow I’ll be flying off to Glendora California where some lovely people are sponsoring a talk at their church by me.  They want me to focus on specism in the US.   Then I’ll be back home.   Visits this summer will include Portland Maine,  Reston Virginia, North Carolina and South Dakota, among others.  I have a weekly chat set up in Bellevue for people which has my human screaming that she hates driving Bellevue.  Well let me tell ya–no one wants to drive to North Bend, so there!

Let’s go!  The Campaign is a paw!

    Dearest Chey,

Are you aware that I and SlyCat have entered the race. We believe that you and Derby should not run unopposed, as cats.

Our party is the American Patriot Cat Party, and our platform can be found here:

I am challenging you to a debate. You may choose the date and moderator.

    Luv ya!

You let me know if you want me to appear anywhere with you! Especially in Portland, Maine because we have human family there and Kaze’s little brother lives there.

Wow, Chey, you sure are a busy cat! Being on the campaign trail sounds hard. I hope you get time to rest, too.

Well Chey, I thought you’d only have that Cato guy to deal with, now it appears you have some serious competition in the Skittles/Sly candidacy. You must have Skeezix set up this debate. Everyone reads him and he can present both platforms. A post debate poll will tell us what areas we need to concentrate on.

More cats running for President can only be good.

On a related matter, has everyone seen this?

We love the idea of Skeezix setting up a debate. We want to hear all sides, competition is good! We are so far still firmly in Chey’s camp because:
she said pro-choice and gay marriage is fine.
And of course: she wears these glasses!!! You rock, Cheysuli!
