Dona Nobis Pacem

Ichiro · November 6, 2006 ·

Donanobispacem.jpg World peace means working with what you have. I don’t have a photo editor, so this was the best I could do offline to sign this post with the photo. I don’t know how well it will show up.

World peace. It’s a great time for a nap. Did you know humans don’t nap enough? If they did, perhaps they wouldn’t have so much time to make up the labels that separate them from one another. Really, who cares if you are Christian or Muslim or Sunni or Lutheran or Buddhist or Taoist or Hindu? You all have two hands and opposable thumbs. Stop fighting and feed me.

If everyone used the resources they had on hand, well then, you know what? You’d have a variety of things going on in the world. It’s called diversity. Diversity is a wonderful thing. Just think, if there was no diversity, all cats would be ME. While I’m wonderful–we all know that–what would you do without other cats? How would I stand out as the unique and wonderful cat that I am if all cats were me? Think about it. Embrace the diversity of humanity and the resources of the world. Work on what you have where you are. Maybe your area makes cat food–hey–hello?! Do you know how important that is?!

Take a nap. Meditate on peace. Think about it. If you visualize peace, you will find it-probably. If you have trouble, then maybe you need to work on what’s inside you. If you don’t have peace inside, then you can’t very well find peace in the world. Be a cat for the day–let go of attatchment. Let life flow. Stop worrying about controlling things. Just lay back and say “FEED ME ALREADY!!!!”

You might be surprised at the morsels the universe drops in your mouth…

Dona Nobis Pacem.

    Chey,
That is an excellent post. It’s furry inspiring, maybe I will go back and edit my post to include some thoughts about peace. You’re right, people should learn from cats more.

    Your globe is lovely!

You’re right, diversity is good. If we were all beautiful meezers like you, then none of us could be midnight kitties of great gorgeousosity like me, or Mr Hendrix, or Rascal, or Grr, Midnight and Cocoa, or …well, lots of us! That would be boring.

You’re also right about the naps.

    Happy Peace Day
